Bacteria produce GOLD !!

Hi friends,

“GOLD”….

When I utter this word, what comes in your mind? Infact, the word GOLD can bring mixed emotions in us. It can bring back the cherishing happiness in you, when you think of the GOLDEN moments that last in your mind. When you think of its soaring prices, the same GOLD can bring you mingled emotions -worries of future purchase or some hopes for the investment already made.

It is treasured for its purity &divine nature. The same gold is the root cause of so many wars in the past & it will continue to be in the future even. It can flip flop the economy of various nations.

What would happen if there’s no gold in our earth to be mined? What would happen if there’s no gold for transactions? What would happen if the current economic crisis is worsened by this gold scarcity?

Thanks to the recent research, which holds the key of opening to the Gold Scarcity. Yes, a recent research has shown the world that Gold can be produced artificially. The most astonishing fact is that the BACTERIA can be used for the gold production. Researchers from the Michigan State University have found that the metal-tolerant bacteria 'Cupriavidus metallidurans' can grow on massive concentrations of gold chloride or liquid gold, a toxic chemical compound found in nature.

BACTERIAL ALCHEMY:

The gold Chloride which is abundant in nature is the main chemical ingredient of this process. When such Gold Chloride is feeded to the bacterium 'Cupriavidus metallidurans', it withstood the toxic nature of the chemical. To the scientist’s astoundment, the bacteria not only overcome the toxic nature, but acted upon it by its extreme metabolic conditions & converted the chemical into 100% pure 24Carat Gold.

Alchemical Bioreactor

The researchers point out such production is nothing but MICROBIAL ALCHEMY – ‘transforming gold from something that has no value into a solid, precious metal that's valuable’. Due to such microbial alchemy, performed in a Bioreactor filled with Carbon Di Oxide & Hydrogen, the bacterium popped out 100% pure 24K Gold.

Produced Gold

Interestingly, this gold production suggest some evidence of the Gold deposits not necessarily formed under earth due to extreme heat or pressure, but can be due to the bacteria. This Gold production is meager at the current stage. However, this research if extended can bridge the gap between the existence & scarcity in the near future.
